I FINALLY GOT A TATTOO.
It was done by Tayler Wooten at Nightmare Studios in Reno, NV. It took 5 and a half hours. (If you know me at all, then you know my motto is “go big or go home.” So I did.)
It’s based on a piece by Harry Clarke that illustrates the Edgar Allan Poe story Ligeia (read it if you have a sec, it’s real short and real good).
Obviously, after you’ve read it (this is your cue to go read it if you didn’t do it the first time I told you to), you’ll have your own connection to it, or not. For me, the story is about power. Power and love. But mostly power. Intense, unbreakable, unfaltering power, and willfulness and determination and fanaticism. But also it’s about being the ultimate human for someone. To feel devotion that piercing, it’s rare. That’s what I want in my life. It’s what I’m getting in my life. It’s perfection.
And now it’s permanent.
I have a tattoo based off Harry Clarke’s work as well!
So happy to find others who appreciate his work as well as Poes.
